Anselm Kiefer. The other day I stumbled upon his work while visiting several galleries in Chelsea (Gagosian Gallery). At first everything seemed destructive and chaotic, but there’s this strong elegance in his work that makes them beautiful. I’d recommend taking a look if you’re in NY while the exhibit lasts.
